Ottoman: from Mehmed II’s court to Matrakçı Nasuh, Nakkaş Osman and Levnî. Mughal & Rajput: Akbar’s Hamzanama, Jahangir’s naturalists, the Pahari and Rajasthani schools. Contemporary: the revival in Istanbul, Lahore (Shahzia Sikander) and Tehran.
