Terms that apply to bidding, buying and consigning with Matchless Pieces.
Bidding
Bids are binding offers. Only works marked as for sale accept bids. The highest bid at the close of a sale wins, subject to any reserve.
Buyer’s premium and taxes
A buyer’s premium and applicable taxes are added to the hammer price and shown before you confirm.
Payment and collection
Payment is due within the period stated in the invoice; title passes on full payment. Shipping is arranged at the buyer’s cost and risk.
Authenticity
Specific authenticity guarantees, where offered, are set out in the lot description.
Consignors and B2B sellers
Sellers warrant that they have good title and the right to sell, and that export and cultural-property rules are respected. Lots are published only after specialist review.
