GT Class Winner and Second Overall, 1963 24 Hours of LeMans. Only 36 GTOs were built, but they were hugely successful, particularly in endurance racing. Ferrari delivered this particular 250 GTO to Jacques Swaters, the Belgian Ferrari distributor. Swater's driver Willy Mairesse won the 500 KM of Spa, then "Beurlys", a Belgian gentleman racing under a pseudonym, joined with Gerard Langlois van Ophem for the 24 Hours of LeMans. The pair won the GT class and finished second overall, ahead of several Ferrari prototypes.
