A 19th-century book of remembrances or memorial book (Yizkor book) for the family of Judah ben Menahem. The title on the wooden cover says 'The Book of Life', a typical euphemism for a book commemorating the dead, with a crude carving of the tomb of Rachel. Ten members of the family are included, each with their name and date of death followed by longer Yizkor passages. Dates range from 1838 (Judah ben Menahem) to 1887 (Keyle Marcus). The illustration on f.1 is dated 1889.
