Jean Pierre Raynaud's "Condolences" belongs to a large series of works he created in the 1960s called "Rouge, vert, jaune, bleu". Taking as his initial conception the repetition of an industrial product in different colours and combining it with a floral motif linked to his horticultural studies, the artist, under the title "Condolences", creates a sculptural construction in wood and porcelain in which he repeats the motif of a wreath in four colours, here in the following order: red, blue, green, yellow.
