Both sides have been stamped with a shield containing a letter 'S', in both cases situated close to the centre point.Dimensions: 41.6mm diameter, 3.1mm thick. The weight of 31.25g roughly equates to one troy ounce, which was part of a weighing system in use from around the 14th century.
