Copper-alloy cup weight for half a troy ounce. 9 mm tall, 22.5 mm in diameter at the top and 19 mm at the base, its hollowed-out middle is slightly off-centre. Around the rim are small neat ring-and-dot motifs. The base is slightly rounded and there are oblique filemarks around the outside. It weighs 14.51g, which is equal to 0.512 avoirdupois oz. and 0.4665 troy oz. As it is likely to have lost some weight through corrosion it therefore seems likely, as suggested by Biggs (English Weights: An Illustrated Survey, 1992), that this belongs to a troy weight system. He dates this type of weight to the 15th or 16th century.
