Lead ingot of triangular cross-section, decorated with a lattice pattern moulded in relief on two faces. One end is rather roughly finished. Length 124mm. Width 27 - 31mm. Thickness 13.5 - 14mm.The weight (233g / 3596 grains) is very close to ½lb of a mercantile pound of 15oz Troy. If this is the case then a date in the 14th century or earlier is likely (Biddle 1990, 910-1). No close parallel has been noted.
