Medieval Shield-shaped lead trade weight with lion rampant on front, raised within a cabled border. 45mm x 30mm, 11mm thick. In rather worn condition. Weighing 3.0585 Troy ounces (1467.8 grains). Slightly overweight for 3oz of a mercantile pound of 15oz Troy. 14th century, probably earlier than c.1380-90.
